In the early 2000's, a group of fire fighting experts realized that peat fires were a growing global concern; exacerbated by a warming climate, and the rising number - and strength - of devastating wildland fires. There was a realization that fire suppression and prevention was a stagnant technology. Most fire products had limited effectiveness, short shelf life, transport and storage problems, and their toxicity threatened the environment… and the fire fighting crews we rely on to protect lives and property.

Three years of research led to the development of Fire TechX, followed by the formulation of Peat FireX. Revolutionary products that are completely non-toxic, PFAS-free, and are actually beneficial to the environment. In 2009, this group of chemists, researchers, and fire professionals formed EnvironX solutions, introducing our revolutionary fire suppression and prevention products to the world.

Steve Sinunu is the President and CEO of EnvironX Solutions; he is the global expert on peat fires, and has traveled the world to research, train, and fight underground fires.

Steve’s global travel has included keynote addresses in South America for the largest Forestry Companies as well as Asian Fire and Rescue schools. In addition, he conducted a classified fire deployment for the U.S military in the South Pacific. In 2011, when devastating fires ravaged central Texas, he cancelled all travel plans for the entire company and donated $20,000 of EnvironX products to the threatened areas. The EnvironX team shuttled donated goods from our North Texas Headquarters, while personally assisting in coating threatened homes with the revolutionary Fire TechX fire suppressant.
